Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Hi Fatih! is an English-learning app for kids ages 4–8, published by Northstack Studio ("we", "us"). Because our app is designed for children, protecting kids' privacy is our top priority. This policy explains what we collect, what we deliberately do not collect, and the rights parents have.

2. The short version

We do not show ads. We do not use behavioral or targeted advertising. We do not sell data. We collect the absolute minimum needed to run the app, and we do not ask children for personal information such as their real name, email, or location.

3. Information we collect

• Child profile — a nickname and an avatar chosen by the parent or child. This is not a real name and is stored to personalize the learning experience.
• Learning progress — lessons completed, XP, streaks, and mastered words, so progress is saved and can sync across the family's devices.
• Parent account (optional) — if a parent creates an account to sync or manage settings, we store the parent's email to secure that account. The account belongs to the parent, not the child.
• Diagnostic data — anonymized, non-personalized technical data (app version, device type, crash reports) used only to fix bugs. This is not tied to advertising and carries no advertising identifier.

4. What we never collect

We never collect a child's real name, email address, phone number, photos, precise location, or contacts. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, we do not build advertising profiles of children, and we do not collect the device's advertising ID.

5. Parental consent & control

Anything sensitive — creating an account, making a purchase, changing settings, or opening an external link — sits behind a parent gate that only an adult can pass. Purchases can never be made by a child without an adult. Parents can review and delete their child's data at any time.

6. Offline first

All lessons run fully offline on the device. Learning progress is stored locally and only syncs to the cloud (Google Firebase) when a parent account is used, so the child can learn without any data leaving the device.

7. Sharing

We only share data with the service providers needed to run the app:

• Google Firebase — secure cloud storage and sync for parent accounts and learning progress, configured with advertising and personalization features disabled.
• Crash reporting — anonymized crash and error data, with personal data scrubbed.
• Payment processor — handles subscriptions behind a parent gate; we never see card numbers.

8. Compliance

Hi Fatih! is designed to align with children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU/UK GDPR provisions for children (GDPR-K), Google Play's Families policy, Apple's Kids Category guidelines, and Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP).

9. Data deletion

Deleting the app removes all locally stored data. If a parent created an account, they can delete the child's profile and all associated data at any time from within the app, or by writing to us — we will remove it within 30 days.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest wherever we store it. We follow least-privilege access and never store passwords in plain text.

11. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will post a notice on this page before the change takes effect.
